Itec Contract Floors plays its A+ game 03 January 2013

Itec Contract Floors can now provide specifiers needing environmental evaluation with an environmental profile for its Planet, Atom and Concept collections of resilient sheet flooring.
Each range has been assessed and certified by BRE on a cradle to grave lifecycle impact that covers manufacture, usage and end-of-life disposal, providing a rating for environmental performance within different building use classes.
The mineral style of the Planet collection achieves the top A+ rating in education environments while Concept - available in granite, tile and wood - achieves A+ for healthcare and retail environments, along with the Atom collection. These environmental ratings can be employed as a way of judging the performance of Itec floors, while also helping to gauge the contribution towards a BREEAM rating for the overall building.
“The A+ and A ratings achieved by Itec Contract Floors are testament to our commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our commercial rated floorcoverings,” comments Jason Barrett, sales manager, Itec Contract Floors. “The BRE Environmental Profile methodology has become a benchmark in environmental assessment and with Itec floors now achieving some of the best ratings available, we will now be pushing for specification in BREEAM construction projects across education, healthcare and retail sectors.”
Itec Contract Floors are manufactured in Belgium to the highest standards and also meet stringent European standards for emissions quality.
