
IVC U.S. introduced the all-new premium quality Titanium Collection to Carpet One and Flooring America members at their recent convention held at the magnificent Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, TN. Product sample cards with a letter from the President of Carpet One were placed outside the hotel room doors of all Carpet One members the night before the convention.
At the convention itself, IVC vinyl was highly promoted by Carpet One. The new Titanium collection was used in the main entranceway to the convention hall, in four merchandising booths, and as flooring in the resilient, hardwood and laminate sections of the Carpet One “showroom of the future.” New contemporary IVC Titanium and Platinum displays were highlighted just inside the main entrance, with hanging banners above the display area that featured two sets of the new displays. Another walkway featuring IVC Titanium vinyl led from the main Carpet One area to the IVC display area. The IVC 20 x 40 foot booth was open on three sides and featured an impressive back wall of 26 cardboard cylinders 13 feet tall wrapped with the new decors. This “wall of vinyl” provided a tremendous visual impact and highlighted the stunning new designs and colors. Cantilevered out over the front of the display in large block letters was the word TITANIUM, and spotlights on the grid highlighted two displays each of Platinum and Titanium. The response was overwhelming! The IVC booth attracted more traffic than any other vendor location. In addition, the IVC Team set a record for the number of rolls sold at a CCA Convention. The new Flooring America Natural Grandeur (their name for Titanium) display, which differs in design from Carpet One, was introduced to their members during their meeting sessions. The Flooring America group did not utilize the convention hall, but our display had a position of prominence in their showroom area just outside all of the meeting rooms. The Titanium / Natural Grandeur rollout is scheduled for October. Participating members will receive two new displays (one for Titanium and one for Platinum) plus new display samples and strap sets for the Titanium line. Since most members already have the old Platinum display, they will transfer the existing samples to the new Platinum display. The new program is “mandatory” for both Carpet One and Flooring America members. Once members receive the new displays, they will not even have to do the assembly. For the first time ever, an outside company will actually go to the member store, assemble the displays and place the samples and accessories in place. The new collection further strengthens the IVC position as the leader in cushion-back vinyl in the USA.
